I am proud to be the principal of George Washington Carver Elementary.  We have created an environment where teachers enjoy coming to teach and students enjoy coming to learn.  Dedicated to lifelong learning and through on-going professional development, our staff stays informed about credible research, exemplary teaching practices, and the need for addressing the social aspects of the developing child.

At Carver Elementary, children are our main concern.  All of our decisions are based upon our philosophy of putting the needs of the students above all others. As principal of Carver Elementary, I take pride in knowing that every staff member facilitates this mission on a daily basis.

Here at Carver Elementary, we believe that the partnership between parents and school is an essential part of our school community.  We not only encourage parental involvement, we NEED it!  Through the school year, you will see the results of parents’ efforts.  Whether participating in our Watch D.O.G.S. program or spearheading fundraiser and special projects, our Carver parents play a vital role  in their children’s education.  As partners, we share the common goal of nurturing each growing and developing child and giving each student the greatest head start in the world.  Because of this, children will continue to succeed at Carver.

Our unique partnership of staff, parents, and students at Carver Elementary brings the community together in a very special and positive way.  We will always strive to preserve what we know is good for children.  We are committed to providing our community’s children with the very best in education.
